5 Fantastic Italy Honeymoon Destinations

5 Fantastic Italy Honeymoon Destinations

Honeymoons are traditionally spent somewhere that both the bride and the groom can agree on and where they can find things that they can enjoy together.  Italy is one of the most popular honeymoon destinations, because the country screams romance, relaxation, and more in every city, in every town, and through every countryside.

Here are 5 fantastic Italy honeymoon destinations:

Venice

The city of Venice is surrounded by water and many couples find that walking the streets and crossing the bridges over the water is a romantic experience.  The gondola rides are the best way to see the most of this city and while during the day is a good time to go on one, nighttime is fabulous for kissing under the starry night sky.

Lake Como

Lake Como is surrounded by majestic mountains and everyone can wander through the small towns for hours as they admire gardens and villas.  Many of the restaurants have outdoor dining so that no one needs to miss the beautiful scenery for a meal.  Before leaving each town, couples will want to enter at least a few of the boutiques to see what is for sale.

Tuscany

The Tuscany countryside is the perfect honeymoon destination for many couples because it includes Florence, Montalcino, Pienza, Cortona, and Chianti.  Buildings are filled with amazing works of art and after hours of gazing at art, couples can go to a local winery or take a wine tour to taste some delicious new wines.

Cinque Terre

There are five fishing villages that comprise Cinque Terre and these villages are Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore.  All the villages are built into the cliffs that line the shoreline and they all offer both relaxation and adventure. Couples can choose to stroll through the towns and soak up the sun or they can participate in water sports, horseback riding, and hiking.

The Amalfi Coast

Couples can reach the Amalfi Coast via a scenic road that has multiple twists and turns and is surrounded by olive trees, vineyards, and lemon groves.  During the drive, couples will find themselves staring out at the blue water or finding a place to pull over for a little while to experience the view for a longer period of time.

It doesn’t matter what a couple wants to do on their honeymoon because these Italy honeymoon destinations have anything and everything that they could possibly want.  Of course, the goal of a honeymoon is to start a new life together, and this can be accomplished anywhere in the world, but why not Italy?  It’s beautiful and filled with delicious wines, cheeses, and food, which are all necessary for a honeymoon or any other vacation.
